We headed to Liberty for Friday Night Lights from Orange and settled on Jax since the boys wanted burgers! We waited a few minutes in line to ordered and picked up at the counter when our named was called. They had a nice salad bar and everything you needed was self serve at the bar. It only took about 15 minutes to get our food after ordering. I had the fried fish and coleslaw. It was a cornmeal type batter and tasted very fresh and coleslaw was very good too. The boys ended up ordering the grilled cheese and corn dog. They said everything was delicious and enjoyed the crispy wedge french fries. We took advantage of the ice cream selection too (eight flavors) and it was delicious. One had the Superman (vanilla with food coloring) and two had the strawberry. I would highly recommend Jax if you are in Liberty, Texas. The ladies working had been busy all afternoon with Bears fans coming into town and they were polite and helpful.

We came from Friendswood to try these burgers and they did not disappoint. Their bacon cheeseburger on jalapeno bread is so good. I got the half fries/half onion ring option and their rings are crispy and delicious.

Great place. It's definitely worth the trip. My husband loved his burger, fries and onion rings. My chicken salad salad was delicious. The place was clean. The staff was friendly. Prices were on par.

4 of us ate lunch here today. It was my first time. We shared the boudin balls, which were good. I had the grilled cheese and tomato soup. The tomato soup was really good. My hubby had the Diablo burger. He said it was delicious and very spicy. They asked if he wanted tomato or guacamole, so I'm assuming they charge for tomatoes, which I found odd. The people we were with had a burger and a grilled chicken salad. The salad was huge. The only interaction we had with workers was the cashier we ordered with, and she was fine... not friendly but not rude either. Our starter came out probably less than a minute than our meals and that's a pet peeve of mine. Otherwise, everything was fine, and I'd go back.

Jax is clean, cool, and nicely decorated. The food is verrrry yummy and they have a great selection on their menu. The burger bun was perfectly toasted and burger was well done but juicy. The fries were hot and crispy, just perfect. I love that they have a burger topping bar. The staff was nice. We paid just under 40 for two people but we paid almost exactly the same eating at Panera yesterday for lunch. To top it off, they played some good oldies music.

Always great food served and prepared by a very friendly staff! It's a popular establishment in downtown Liberty, located right in the old town Square which to me gives it that good ole hometown feeling before I even walk in. Come on in, choose your grub and tell it to the cashier and in just a matter of minutes they'll holler your name to pick it up. If you're ever in Liberty Texas, stop on by.

Best onions ringo I have ever eaten!!! The Burger had so much favor in the patty I could have eaten just that and been happy. Will make this trip again just to eat here. Came back...several times. Had to mention the onion rings this time not near as good. They were over cooked and the batter was not the same. Tried the catfish...was great once I salted it. Just a touch of season makes them perfect. Burger still the best!! Shrimp perfect!!

Good food. Love the club salad, turkey cranberry sandwich (with fries, not chips!), and the three cheese burger. - Loud & a bit inefficient at peak times. - They removed Diet Coke from their fountain. It had been the *good* Diet Coke like McDonald’s. (IYKYK). Just water for me now. :(
